Background

“Energy management and energy efficiency are important for powering our competitiveness”

The continuous increases in energy efficiency and the optimum integration of opportunities for independent generation make an important contribution to the competitiveness of a site.

In addition, legal changes mean that various cost reductions in the energy sector are only possible if an energy management system is introduced and operated in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001. The certification must be maintained continuously and without interruption while placing as little stress on the organization as possible.
The certified energy management system ensures cost savings and at the same time the systematic and continuous development, assessment and implementation of plant-specific potential.
Energy managers face a dynamic environment: The evolution of technology provides new solutions and changes in profitability; funding opportunities and conditions are often subject to changes, while legal requirements are subject to change at short notice.
Consequently, not every consumption saving reduces the Total Energy Cost (TEC ®). The energy management system must therefore be practically integrated into the TEC® Management system.
